Shri Balaji Institute of Medical Science witnessed a vibrant start to its annual cultural fest, Aviral 2024. The inaugural day was marked by a plethora of events, showcasing the diverse talents of the students.
The day began with the inauguration of the art exhibition, ‘Kalajali,’ by Dr. Neeta Nayak, MD, SBIMS. Renowned artists like Indu Chatterjee, Shamita Chakraborty, and K.K. Agarwal graced the occasion as judges.
The exhibition featured a wide array of artworks, including rangoli, mehendi, calligraphy, sketches, and innovative ‘best out of waste’ creations.
The evening witnessed the grand opening of Aviral 2024, with Dr. Vivek Chaudhary, Dean of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, as the chief guest. Dr. Devendra Nayak, Chairman of SBIMS, presided over the event. The cultural extravaganza included captivating musical performances, a fashion show, and the highly anticipated Mr. and Miss SBIMS pageant. The highlight of the evening was the fashion show, where students showcased their style and creativity. Tenzin Nayak was crowned Mr SBIMS, while Riya Khan was declared Miss SBIMS. The judges for the various competitions included Dr Chhaya Banerjee, Dr Ketan Shah, Dr. Sanchita Nihal, Dr Sunil Khemka, Dr Monika Agarwal, and Dr Geeta Agarwal.
