WESTERN Coalfields Limited (WCL) has paid an interim dividend of Rs 249.86 crore to Coal India Limited (CIL). During the meeting held on Wednesday in Kolkata, Chairman-cumManaging Director of WCL Jai Prakash Dwivedi handed over the cheque of the interim dividend for the financial year 2024- 25 to Chairman of Coal India Limited PMPrasad. Prior to the year 2024 - 25 , WCL had paid dividend to CIL in the financial year 2015-16. At present, the net worth of WCL is Rs 7,443 crore and in the financial year 2023-24,WCL has earned a profit of Rs 4,182 crore. On this occasion, the Directors of CIL and the CVO were present. Director (Technical) of CIL, Anil Kumar Singh , Director (FinanceandPersonnel),Bikram Ghosh, Chief Vigilance Officer Ajay Madhukar Mhetre, General Manager (Finance) Dinesh KumarChaudharyandothersenior officers were present in the meeting.
