Business Reporter RAIPUR,  CONFEDERATION of All India Traders (CAIT) organised the Chhattisgarh Vyapar Sammelan and Regional Diwali Milan Samaroh in Bilaspur, bringing together traders and dignitaries for a significant event. Praveen Khandelwal, MP from Chandni Chowk (Delhi) and Secretary General of CAIT, was the chief guest. Brijmohan Agrawal, Chairman of CAIT, attended as the special guest, while National Senior Vice President Amar Parwani presided over the programme. The event commenced with the inaugural ceremony, after which the attendees exchanged Diwali greetings in a spirit of camaraderie and celebration. Addressing the trading community, Praveen Khandelwal emphasized the urgent need to adapt to digital trends in business. “You must evolve your business with time and integrate technology, or risk being left behind,” he warned, citing the examples of HMT watches, Nokia and Kodak- once-dominant companies that became obsolete due to their failure to adapt. Highlighting the power of technology, Khandelwal pointed to companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Zomato, which have revolutionized commerce without producing physical goods, relying instead on digital platforms. He urged traders to embrace similar technological innovations, including conducting business via mobile platforms such as WhatsApp, to remain competitive in the modern market. The programme saw active participation from CAIT office bearers, youth teams, and state-wide units. Prominent members included Magelal Malu, Parmanand Jain, Vasu Makhija, Surinder Singh, Rakesh Ochwani, Motilal Sachdev, Mahesh Khilosia, Naresh Patni, Preetpal Singh Bagga, Nagendra Kumar Tiwari, Satish Srivastava, Mohan Varlyani, Mahendra Bagrodia, Vikrant Rathore, and Parvinder Singh, among others.
