Meeting at PCC concludes amid resolutions to make party strong at ground level

A meeting of the newly-appointed committee of the State Congress was held on Friday under the chairmanship of All India Congress Committee General Secretary and State Congress General Secretary Amir Singh, State President Jitu Patwari, in the presence of various office bearers of the party. In the meeting, All India Congress General Secretary Chakravarti Singh took the final decision to do a comprehensive work on the newly-appointed qualification, consensus from his responsibilities. At the same time, while discussing the formation of Ward Committee and Mohalla Committee in Abdullah, his views were sought. Singh said that there is a need for a strong grid at the ground level.

State Congress President Patwari in his address said that the Congress Party has been struggling since the Gujarat era. “I am also like all of you, the responsibility given to me by the All India Congress Committee requires full co-operation from all of you. We all have to work together. Whatever work style is adopted to strengthen the organisation, we plan to work actively for the organisation of the organisation along with all the senior leaders,” he said. Patwari said that in today’s meeting everyone expressed their consent.

A committee of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee will be elected in the upcoming February-March. On the other hand, Patwari said that BJP government has been in power in the state for 20 years. Unemployment, injustice with farmers, unemployment with women, future relations with youth, atrocities on tribals, on one hand there is encroachment on the public, on the other hand the people of the state are troubled by poverty and unemployment. We all need to work together at the grassroots level with this fierce aggression. Several leaders and office bearers of the party were also present during the meeting.
