The AYUSH Department at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is conducting Swarnaprashan on the auspicious day of Pushya Nakshatra each month. Continuing this tradition, the AYUSH Department organized the Swarnaprashan program in the Ayurveda OPD on Thursday.
A yoga session for children was also included in this program. A total of 87 children participated in this event, out of which 59 were old participants, and 28 children were newly registered.
In this program,
Ayurvedic Medical Officer, Dr. Ranjana Pandey, administered Swarnaprashan to children aged 1 to 16 years. From the past one year, the Ayurveda section of the AYUSH Department has been offering Swarnaprashan to children free of cost.
In Ayurveda, Swarnaprashan is believed to enhance children’s immunity and support their physical and mental development. During the program, children’s height, weight, and other physical parameters were also measured. Efforts are being made to raise awareness among parents about the benefits of Swarnaprashan for improving the physical and mental growth of children.
