Jabalpur Corporation and District teams won their matches on first day of Mayor Cup Senior Women’s Kabaddi Tournament, on Saturday. The tournament is being organised under the banner of Madhya Pradesh Kabaddi Association and Jabalpur Corporation Kabaddi Association at MLB Ground.

 

In its first match, Jabalpur Corporation team registered its maiden victory over Sehore team by the lead of 38-17 points while ICC Bhopal routed Chhindwara Corporation by the margin of 24-14 points. Jabalpur District team defeated Bhopal district team by a close margin of 22-21 points, Indore Corporation team routed Devas Academy by 38-6 points. In its second match of the day, Jabalpur Corporation registered a big victory over Bhind team by the lead of 44-7 points and secured its berth in next round of the tournament. Earlier, chief guest on the occasion was MLA, Ajay Vishnoin while Bharat Singh Yadav, former Jila Panchayat, President presided over the programme. Guests took introduction from players and wished them for success. On the occasion, Hitkarini Vidya Parishad, Secretary, Jayesh Rathore and Dinesh Singh Thakur were specially present. Guests were welcomed by Dharmendra Singh Pappu, Dr Amit Sahu, Pradeep Jatiya, Rahul Rajak, Manish Rajak, Pushpendra Pandey, Prabhulal Yadav, Sanjay Pandey, Manish Mishra and Mona Sengar.
