A disturbing incident has come to light where a 27-year-old married woman was allegedly raped by her acquaintance, Abhishek Ahirwar, at her parental home in Harrakheda village.
The victim had returned to her parental home from her in-laws’ place when the incident occurred.
According to the police, Abhishek Ahirwar, who is known to the survivor, arrived at her parental home and allegedly forced himself on her, committing rape. The victim, who is married, reported the incident to the police, and an FIR was registered against Abhishek.
Thana in-charge of Gunga, Harishankar Verma, confirmed that Abhishek has been arrested and was produced in court on Saturday.
The police are currently investigating the matter further.
