Amid the forecast of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regarding the weather set to take a U-turn, the minimum temperature in the city on Saturday dipped gradually with being recorded at 8.8 degrees Celsius. With this, the temperature now seems to be on the track to break the records of all times.
 
“The temperature fell appreciably below normal in districts of Bhopal division”, as per the IMD. As per the records of IMD, the city recorded the coldest night in 1941 with a minimum temperature of 6.1 degrees Celsius. However, going by the predictions of the department, an increase in the temperature in expected. On the previous day, the State capital recorded the coldest night in the 36 years with 9.4 degrees Celsius. As per the Weather Department, no significant changes were recorded in maximum temperatures in all the divisions of the State.
 
 
They fell below normal in districts of Indore, Narmadapuram, Ujjain, Rewa, Jabalpur, Shahdol divisions and remained normal in all the remaining divisions of the State. Minimum temperatures fell appreciably below normal in districts of Bhopal Division; fell below normal in districts of Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur divisions and remained normal in all the remaining divisions of the state. Shallow to Moderate Fog prevailed in Gwalior district of the State. In State, Talun in Barwani recorded the highest temperature with 30 degrees Celsius whereas Pachmarhi in Narmadapuram recorded the least temperature with 6.6 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity levels in Bhopal were recorded at 77 and 46 in the morning and evening respectively. The maximum temperature was recorded at 27.1 degrees Celsius. As per information, the western disturbance now lies as a cyclonic circulation over Afghanistan and neighbourhood at 3.1 km above mean sea level. The cyclonic circulation over east Bangladesh and neighbourhood persists and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.
