In compliance with the decree order of the Estate Court, the Enforcement Section of the Town Services Department (TSD) of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) sealed the illegally retained residential quarter number -1B/40/ Sector-05 in the presence of police personnel and Executive Magistrate Vishwamitra Diwan.
It is worth mentioning that the BSP management allotted
the residence quarter number -1B/40/ Sector-05 to the former Manager (Finance) of BSP, M R Thakur for retention from 01st August 2014 to 31st July 2016, post his superannuation. However, even after the expiry of the retention period, the residence was not vacated by M R Thakur. Thereafter, a decree was passed by the Estate Court in 2017 ordering the eviction of the said quarter. Even after the order by the Court, Thakur did not vacate the residence. In compliance with the decree order passed by the Estate Court stringent eviction process was carried out by the Enforcement Section of the Town Services Department on 27 November 2024.
As part of this action, a team comprising as many as 100 personnel from PHD Department, District Police Force, Kotwali Police Station Sector-06, Mahila Force, Public Relations Department, TEED Department, Civil Department, Employees of Estate Court and Private Security Guards. Belongings of the house were seized and handed over to the Estate Court after preparing a Panchnama before the Executive Magistrate. SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant Management’s action by the illegal occupants, land mafias, and unauthorized brokers will continue in the future, and legal proceedings will also be initiated against them, as required. Stringent action will also be taken by issuing orders against the individuals in illegal occupancy of BSP quarters.
