Divya Agrawal in semi-final of East Asia Muay Thai Championship in Hong Kong

DIVYA Agrawal, a budding international Muay Thai player from Raipur reached the semi-final of the East Asia Muay Thai Championship commenced at Hong Kong on Thursday. The championship is being organised by Federation of Amature Muai Thai Association (FAMA) in association with International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA), which has the recognition of International Olympic Committee. In the bout on the first day, Divya Agarwal, representing India in the 45kg weight category got a walkover (bye) in the quarterfinals and reached the semifinals directly ensuring a medal for the country.
 
Aman Yadav of Raipur is also accompanying the Indian team as manager. State Muay Thai Association President Lakhan Kumar Sahu and General Secretary Anees Memon said that in the semi-finals, Divya Agarwal will face host Hong Kong’s player Hoi Yi Wong. It is noteworthy that players from 8 countries including India, China, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Taipei, Macau, South Korea are participating in the East Asia Muay Thai Championship.
