Offers prayers at Mandakini river, assures devpt of Chitrakoot on lines of Ayodhya
Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath was on a one-day visit in Chitrakoot on Thursday.
He arrived at Chitrakoot by a helicopter and on reaching Ramghat of Mandakini river, which falls in Madhya Pradesh, he worshipped the deity at the Mattgajendranath temple.
Amidst chanting of hymns by priest, CM Yogi Adityanath performed ‘Jalaabhishek’.
Then Saint Bipin Bihari Mahraj, Pradeep Mahraj performed religious rituals. He also performed the ‘aarti’ of Mandakini river.
Further the UP CM addressed gathering at Ramghat and said that all round development of Chitrakoot holy town would be done like on the heels of Ayodhya.
Digambar Akhada Mehent Divya Jeevan Das, Santoshi Akhada Akhada Mahant Ramji Das, Tulsi Peeth Acharya Ramchandra Das, Nirmohi Akhada, Mahant Deendayal Das Janki Mahal Seeta Sharan Mahraj, Nirvani Akhada Satya Prakash Das and others were
present on the occasion.
Ramji Das Maharaj requested CM for cleaning of Mandakini river and better arrangements for devotees at pilgrimage spots.
Further, the UP CM reached the other side of Chitrakoot, falling under Uttar Pradesh and reviewed the developmental works. He warned officers to be serious in making developmental plan as adequate funds have been pooled .
CM Adityanath also visited the birthplace of Goswami Tulsidas at Rajapur village and birthplace of Maharishi Valmiki at Lalapur village. He also announced for construction of road, bridge and bypass in the area and developing Ranipur Tiger Reserve Area to promote tourism.
