BJP State President Kiran Singh Deo has accused the Congress party of orchestrating unrest and criminal activities in Chhattisgarh.
Speaking at a press conference in Ekatma Parisar, he expressed deep concern over State’s safety, especially as Chhattisgarh celebrates its 25th Rajyotsav. Deo asserted that Congress is at the core of the rising crime and tension, claiming that the party is intent on igniting chaos in the region.
Deo contended that the Congress party not only initiates criminal acts but then uses these incidents to criticise the government. He characterised the situation as part of a broader national conspiracy aimed at destabilising elected governments and fostering an atmosphere of fear and terror. He cited specific incidents, including an attack on the Kabirpanth center in Damakheda, which he claimed involved a known Congress worker. Deo pointed to evidence from a Facebook post by Prakashmuni Saheb, who indicated that the perpetrator was linked to the Congress party. He condemned the politicisation of such acts, calling it inexcusable.
Furthermore, the firing incident at the Central Jail, which occurred during the press conference, further solidified the BJP’s claims of a deteriorating law and order situation. Singh condemned the incident and demanded a thorough investigation to bring the culprits to justice.
Deo highlighted the violent unrest in Balodabazar, where he alleged that Congress members, including MLA Devendra Yadav, were implicated in the burning of government offices. He noted that many of
these individuals remain
incarcerated due to the strength of the evidence against them. In another serious allegation, Deo mentioned a brutal murder in Surajpur, linked to the District General Secretary of the NSUI, suggesting a troubling connection between the Congress party and violent crimes. He questioned whether the party was willing to go to such lengths to further its political agenda, implying that Congress has evolved from a political entity into a criminal organisation.
The BJP government, he claimed, is dedicated to maintaining peace and order in the state and is prepared to confront Congress through democratic means. He strongly condemned the attack on the residence of Acharya Ji in Damakheda and vowed to uncover the conspiracy behind it, insisting that justice will be served regardless of the perpetrator’s political ties.
MLA Shukla takes on Congress over rising criminal activities in State
RAIPUR,

Beltara MLA Sushant Shukla has levelled serious allegations against the Congress party over rising criminal activities in State. In his remarks, Shukla described Congress as a ‘gang of criminals,’ asserting that party members are implicated in numerous serious crimes. He questioned the motivations behind their recent protests, suggesting they aim to undermine the BJP government.
Speaking to journalists at the BJP office, Shukla addressed the Congress-led protest against rising crime rates in the state. He accused the party of attempting to tarnish the BJP’s image with a calculated strategy. He cited specific incidents, including a violent protest that resulted in the burning of the collectorate in Balodabazar, linking the chaos to Bhilai MLA Devendra Yadav, who he claimed is facing legal difficulties without bail due to substantial evidence against him.
Shukla also highlighted the brutal murder of a policeman in Surajpur, pointing out that the accused was a prominent member of Congress’ youth wing, NSUI. He mentioned a recent attack on a Kabirpanthi religious leader’s ashram in Damakheda, alleging that a Congress leader was behind that incident as well. Additionally, he criticized Congress for inciting conflict in Loharidih, where he said party factions clashed.
The MLA further stated that Congress leaders have been apprehended with large quantities of counterfeit currency. He concluded that the ongoing crimes and deteriorating social harmony in Chhattisgarh can be traced back to Congress, accusing the party of deliberately seeking to ignite social discord. Shukla emphasized that Congress has become synonymous with conspiracy, violence, and the theatrics of protest.
