After NITTTR Bhopal got the status of Deemed University, an orientation program was organized in the Institute for the first PhD batch on Thursday. On this occasion, the Director of the Institute, Professor CC Tripathi said that, “all of you should focus on innovation as well as research useful for the society. The research scholars should do research work related to new process and product innovation. Focus on enhancing your capabilities and not just on degrees. Our institute is committed not only to the pursuit of knowledge but also to generate new ideas, solve real world challenges and contribute to the progress of society. All of you will get the opportunity to do research work in our institute as well as in the prestigious institutes and industries of the country. Take every challenge in this journey as an opportunity.

As per NITTR, the orientation program for PhD students was aimed at providing information to the new students about the research process, the Institute's policy, facilities and resources. The students were taken on a tour of the Institute's library, laboratories of the Center of Excellence, and the research center. On this occasion, the Institute's Dean Prof. Sanjay Agarwal, Prof RK Dixit, Prof PK Purohit, Prof Ramesh Gupta Burela, Prof Manish Bhargava and other faculty members were present.
