DISTRICT Collector Dr Vipin Itankar
recently convened a meeting here at
MIA House in MIDC Area under the
SVEEP (Systematic Voter Education
& Electoral Participation) initiative.
The objective of the meeting was
to promote maximum voter participation among employees within the
MIDC Hingna industrial area, fostering a strong culture of democratic engagement.
The meeting brought
together top representatives from
both industry and Government,
including Vinayak Mahamuni, CEO
of Zilla Parishad; SSMuddamwar,
General Manager of DIC; Manohar
Pote, Regional Officer, Maharashtra
Industrial Development Corporation
(MIDC); and executives fromvarious
Governmentdepartments,alongwith
heads of industrial groups, company
worker representatives, and HR officers.
AllExecutiveMembersof theMIDC
Industries Association (MIA) and
nearly all industrial members from
the Hingna Industrial Area attended
the event, reflecting a unified commitment to the cause.

meeting,emphasizing thecriticalrole
of industrial leaders in encouraging
voterparticipationamong theirworkforce.Thediscussionsincludedpractical steps for raising voter awareness, with plans for company-based
sessions andvoterregistrationdrives.
A pledgewas takenbyall attendees
to participate in the upcoming elections and actively encourage others
to do the same. This pledge underscored the commitment of industry
leadersandGovernmentofficialsalike
tostrengthen thedemocraticprocess
through proactive involvement.
The meeting concluded with Arun
Lanjewar, Secretary of MIA, proposing thevoteof thanks, extending gratitude to all present for their dedication to this important civic initiative.
