Expressing strong displeasure over filth in several areas of the city, Municipal Commissioner Harendra Narayan on Monday passed the orders to deduct 15 days' salary of Ward Daroga of ward 75. He also issued a show cause notice to Assistant Health Officer of Zone 17 along with the nodal officer of the zone for finding garbage in the area.
While reviewing the cleanliness system in various areas of the city to further improve the cleanliness system of the city and to improve the work according to the parameters of Swachhta Survekshan (Cleanliness Survey), directed in person and through VC that the inspector, vehicle driver and other workers at the ward level should prepare an action plan with mutual dialogue and coordination to further improve the cleanliness system and the headquarters should also be informed about the action plan.
He expressed strong displeasure over the unsatisfactory cleanliness system in zone number 17 and heaps of garbage found at various places in ward number 75 and no improvement in work despite repeated instructions and directed to deduct 15 days' salary of the daroga of ward 75 and issue a show cause notice to the assistant health officer of zone number 17 and the zone nodal officer posted for cleanliness. Narayan also directed that strict action should be taken against those who dump C and D (construction and demolition) waste and construct buildings in the open by imposing spot fines and that along with operating garbage vehicles according to the prescribed time, arrangements for garbage collection and transportation should also be ensured at full capacity.
During the inspection, Assistant Health Officer and Zone Nodal of Zone No. 16 and 17 were made aware of the actual state of cleanliness by making them sit in his vehicle and also gave instructions to improve the work. He inspected several areas including Char Imli, MP Nagar, Chetak Bridge, Anna Nagar among others.
