THE 7th edition of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) will concurrently begin on December 11 at 51 centres nationwide. Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan, will virtually inaugurate the event. In city, Smart India Hackathon 2024 will be inaugurated at Nodal Centre GHRaisoni College of Engineering. The programme will be inaugurated at G H Raisoni College of Engineering by the hands of chief guest Dr Rizwan Ahmed, ChiefTechnology Officer, delaPlex in the gracious presence of guest of honour Shiv Soni, Senior Technical Architect, Infosys. Sunil Raisoni, Chairman Raisoni Education will preside over the event. Director of GHRCE Dr Sachin Untawale. Dr Santosh Jaju, Deputy Director & Dean R&D and SPOC(SIH), Dr Dinesh Padole SPOC (SIH), Mayur Borkar, Nodal Center Head from AICTE, and Dr Lalit Mohan Sanagavarpu, Chief Product Officer, Quick Heal, will also grace the event. The inauguration will start at 8:00 am followed by central inauguration by the Ministry of Education. G H Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur is selected as one of the nodal center to facilitate the event. 20 teams having 120+ participants are competing against 4 problem statements from AICTE and National Council forVocational Education and Training (NCVET )under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
