NAGPUR’s athlete Kashish Bhagat did the city and State proud by winning a silver medal at the 39th Junior National Athletics Championship at Bhubneshawr, Odisha. Representing Maharashtra, Kashish won the second place in the 400 metres race at Kalinga Stadium. A student of Mahatma Gandhi English Medium High School and Junior College, Kashish crossed the finish line in 56.82 seconds. West Bengal’s Tahura Khatun claimed the gold medal in 56.01 seconds while Haryana’s Mahi Nandal secured the bronze with a timing of 57.20s. Kashish trains under coach Ramchandra Wani.
