In a tragic incident at Mata Rukmini Ashram in Dhanora block, 35 children suffered from food poisoning. Among them, an 8-year-old girl, Shivani Telam, died while being taken to Jagdalpur Medical College. Another child, Ishani, is currently undergoing treatment at the medical college. Nine children, reported to be in critical condition, have been admitted to the ICU at the district hospital, while the condition of the remaining 24 children has been declared stable. Mandal Co-ordinator for Dhanora Block, Bhupati Nakka, stated that children had consumed kheer and poori for breakfast on Sunday morning, followed by chana vegetable in afternoon, paneer curry for dinner. By Sunday night, several children began exhibiting symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhoea. As their condition deteriorated, the superintendent arranged for their admission to the district hospital. Of those affected, nine children are in critical condition and are currently being treated in the ICU.
 
Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr B R Pujari said that currently, 9 children exhibiting severe symptoms of food poisoning have been admitted to the ICU. They are receiving treatment. Additionally, 24 other children have been admitted to the district hospital, and their condition is reported to be stable. was allocated for lifting, with 15,000 metric tonnes lifted by the second day of operations. Officials from the Food Department reported that 27.68 lakh farmers have registered for the Kharif year, including 1.45 lakh new farmers. The state government has set a target of purchasing 160 lakh metric tonnes of paddy this year through 2,739 procurement centers. On December 10, 3.02 lakh metric tonnes of paddy were purchased from 78,387 farmers, with 93,197 tokens issued. For the following day, 94,280 tokens were issued to farmers.
