ROHAN Singh, Priyanshu Dubey, Animesh Ghate, Chunharmeet Sokhi made it to the quarter-finals of the Yonex-Sunrise Nagpur District Amateur Winter Badminton Tournament organised by Nagpur District Badminton Association under the auspices of Maharashtra Badminton Association. IN the Round of 16 matches, Singh defeated Balkrishna Bhave 21-11, 21-9 while Dubey thrashed Chaitanya Jangde 21-3, 21-7. Ghate, had to fight out hard to get the better of Prithvi Haritwal 21-12, 20-22, 21-6 and Sokhi prevailed over Priyanshu Rambhade 21-12, 21-13. In Under-9 boys singles round of 16, Ansh Jain defeated Durvank Belsare 15-11, 15-17, 15-4 to move into the last eight. Vedant Bapat got walkover Vihan Thakre, Angad Joshi defeated Toshal Shegaonka 15-9, 15-8 and Samyak Kolhatkar beat Angad Bhonsale 15-4, 15-11 to secure quarters berth.
