Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that his Government is moving on the path of development by following the messages of Guru Ghasidas and Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas and Sabka Vishwas. He was addressing the three-day Mela programme at Lalpur Dham in Mungeli district on the occasion of 268th Guru Ghasidas Jayanti.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the people of State on the occasion of Baba Guru Ghasidas Jayanti. He said that Baba Guru Ghasidas had strongly opposed discrimination and untouchability and preached equality among all. The Chief Minister performed pooja-archana of Guru Ghasidas Mandir and Jaitkham. The Chief Minister announced Rs 50 lakh for the renovation of Baba Guru Ghasidas temple in Lalpur and the construction of Nalanda complex in Lormi. The Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome by the members of Satnami Kalyan Samiti. Sai said that his Government constituted the development authority keeping in mind the development of the Scheduled Caste and Tribe people. For the preparation of UPSC competitive examinations, the number of seats in Tribal Youth Hostel in Delhi has been increased so that more youth can get the benefit of studies and better education.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu and Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel also addressed the programme and they highlighted the message of Guru Ghasidas. Bhojram Patel, Komal Giri Goswami, Phaniswar Patle, local representatives and people from Satnami community in large number were present. Chief Minister Sai also participated in the one-day Guru Parv Mela at Motimpur-Amartapu Dham in Mungeli district. Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister announced the opening of a new college in Kanteli village of Mungeli district. Sub health centre will be upgraded as the primary health centre at Motimpur. Beautification of Motimpur-Amartapu Dham will be held, said Sai.
Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs and MLA Punnulal Mohile also addressed the programme. Earlier, Sai participated in the Guru Ghasidas Jayanti programme at Korba. The Guru Ghasidas Jayanti programme was organised by Satnami Kalyan Samiti Korba. The CM inaugurated a community hall constructed at a cost of about Rs 90 lakh. He also announced the allotment of land to the Satnami community at concessional rates. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu, President of the Satnami Samaj U R Mahilange and others were present.
