Advocate General Prashant Singh felicitating CM Dr Mohan Yadav during a programme organised by AG Office

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said that the Indian judiciary has a distinct identity in the world. This is also because it pronounces judgements not only on merit but also on the basis of values. That is why it has shown the courage to pronounce orders against even the Prime Minister in the past. He was speaking at a function organised by the Advocate General’s office in his honour and High Court Chief Justice Suresh Kumar Kait and others at a city hotel in Bargi Hills during his brief stay in Jabalpur on Wednesday night. Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that merit should be determined on the basis of life values. This is because even though the Kauravas and Pandavas were students of the same Gurukul, their life values were different. I wish a long life to the self-styled senior advocates who have been practicing law for more than 50 years.

The soul of justice was raised by removing blindfold from the eyes of the Goddess of Justice. Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that the Chief Justice of India had recently raised the soul of justice by removing the blindfold from the eyes of the Goddess of Justice. Such innovative decisions of the judiciary bring out the beauty of democracy. After listening to Advocate General Prashant Singh’s speech, the CM said I felt that I can make him a candidate in the future. At the beginning of his address, Chief Minister Dr Yadav, while praising Advocate General Prashant Singh’s welcome speech, candidly said that I can make him a candidate in future elections. Provided it does not cause trouble to the public representatives here. In fact, he gave a very good speech regarding coordination of the bar and bench, both the wheels of the chariot of justice.

I trust the Government to cooperate fully in the development of infrastructure: Chief Justice Kait said at the beginning of his address that he has received more bouquets in just three months after coming to the Madhya Pradesh High Court than he received in his 16 year judicial tenure. Therefore, the tradition of welcoming me in Madhya Pradesh has impressed me a lot. On the basis of the support I am getting here, I am determined to do concrete work for betterment of the judiciary. Senior advocate Satish Chandra Dutt, former Advocate General Ravish Chandra Agarwal, Ravinandan Singh, V N Purohit, Trilochan Singh Rooprah, Imtiaz Hussain, V S Shroti and M L Jaiswal, who have been practicing in the High Court for more than 50 years, were honoured.

Those present on stage were Chief Justice Suresh Kumar Kait, Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Advocate General Prashant Singh, MP State Bar Council Chairman Radhelal Gupta, High Court Bar President Dhanya Kumar Jain, High Court Advocates Bar President Senior Advocate Sanjay Agarwal, Senior Advocates Council General Secretary Senior Advocate Aditya Adhikari and District Bar Association, Jabalpur President Manish Mishra were present on the stage. All of them were also honoured after the welcome. Under series of cultural programmes, artists of Jabalpur captivated the mind with a beautiful presentation of Ahir dance. It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav praised the presentation and announced a prize of one lakh 51 thousand to the artists.
