Second supplementary demands for grants for the financial year 2024-25 amounting Rs 805,71,74,286 was passed with voice vote in the House on the third day of the winter session of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, on Thursday.
Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr Charan Das Mahant said that discriminations are happening in approval of works.
The government works are being approved only in the assembly constituencies of the BJP MLAs while even after approval, sanctions are not being given for the assembly constituencies of the Congress MLAs that is a gross violation of the BJP government’s slogan- ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’, claimed Dr Mahant.
Participating in the discussion on second supplementary demands for grants, Finance Minister O P Choudhary said that around Rs 250 crore has been provisioned for the Drone Didi in the second supplementary estimate.
The Finance Minister announced that the State Government decided to celebrate 2025 as the Atal Nirman Varsh.
Choudhary said that Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Government fulfilled the most of promises under the Modi Kee Guarantee. 70 lakh women are getting benefits under Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The State Government is focusing to create new job for the youth of the State. There will be no dearth of fund in capital expenses, said the Finance Minister in the House. Rs 20 crore will be provisioned for Moti Mahal in the upcoming state budget. The Central Government sanctioned around Rs 3,624 crore for capital expense to Chhattisgarh, he said.
The Finance Minister said that there would be on discrimination and by following financial discipline, development works would be carried out in the State.
