VIDARBHA went down to Hyderabad by 94 runs in their Group A League match of the U-13 Men’s State ‘A’ One-Day Trophy at the Motibaugh ground in Vadodara on Thursday. Hyderabad won the toss and justified their decision to bat first by piling up 313-5 in their 50 overs. K Himateja was the star of the show with an undefeated 164 runs off 141 balls with 17 boundaries and three sixes. He got good support from Mayank Gupta (58) with whom he shared a 125-run partnership for the third wicket. Vidarbha innings lacked momentum as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Opener Shivam Deshmukh top-scored with 57.

 

Varun Bisht (45) and Harsh Dubey (38) contributed useful runs but Vidarbha were bowled out for 219 in 43 overs. It was Vidarbha's first loss in the tournament after two successive victories.
