Aparajita’ Shukla After marathon sitting on Thursday, the fifth and last day of Assembly’s winter session witnessed ruckus between BJP and Congress members over Dr B R Ambedkar matter in Parliament following which the House was adjourned sine die on Friday. Remarkably, the session come to end abruptly without the customary national anthem. On Friday morning, Congress MLAs under the leadership of Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar protested in the Assembly premises over alleged remarks made by Amit Shah on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. The MLAs raised slogans carrying the Constitution book in their hands. When the proceeding started, after the listed business, senior BJP MLA and former Speaker Sitasharan Sharma raised the issue of the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi’s ‘inappropriate behaviour’ during a scuffle in the Parliament premises following which legislators from both the Congress and the BJP created a ruckus. Union Home Minister Amit Shah for allegedly disrespecting Dr Ambedkar, and rushed to the well of the House sporting blue scarves. BJP members condemned Gandhi’s behaviour in the Lok Sabha and also rushed to the well. Amid the din, Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar adjourned the House sine die without the customary national anthem. Leaders say that it was the first time in the history of the Assembly that the House was adjourned sine die without the national anthem. Both the parties leaders trading charges on each other. Question hour concluded with the former Minister Arun Yadav’s query that industrial pollution is hitting crop fields very badly. What actions have been taken by the government to prevent this? Other issues come to fore in the House were roads were dug up under Nal Jal Scheme have not been repaired, fake caste certificates etc. Total 28 call attention motions scheduled A total of 28 call attention motions were scheduled to be brought on the fifth and final day of the winter session of the Assembly, in which several issues including Ladli Bahna, transport, school education, Jal Jeevan Mission etc would be discussed.
