In a heartbreaking incident, a nonagenarian woman named Lalita Tiwari lost her life after her blanket caught fire due to a room heater placed too close to her bed in Mauganj, Madhya Pradesh. Tiwari’s son, Rajesh Tiwari, explained that his mother relied on the room heater to stay warm during the cold nights. On that fateful night, she had asked for the heater to be turned on and positioned it near her bed before going to sleep. At approximately 3 am, the family was awakened by the smell of something burning. To their horror, they discovered Lalita’s blanket engulfed in flames. Despite their immediate efforts to rush her to the hospital, she was pronounced dead upon arrival by the doctors.
