DANISH Malewar, struck six sixes and nine boundaries in his whirlwind knock of 75 runs off just 27 balls to help Vidarbha pulverise Mizoram by six wickets in their U-23 State A One-Day Trophy group league match in Vadodara on Saturday. Vidarbha bowlers, led by Praful Hinge (3-20) dismissed Mizoram for 162 runs in 49.4 overs. Hinge received good support from Harsh Dubey (2-22) and Varun Bisht (2-17). In reply, Vidarbha batsmen went out all guns blazing and chased down the target in only 13.1 overs. An 81-run stand for the second wicket between Malewar and Aniket Pande (35) off 37 balls virtually sealed the deal for Vidarbha, whose Net Run-Rate got a major boost. Brief scores: Mizoram: 162 all out in 49.4 overs (Nunfela 34; Praful Hinge 3-20, Harsh Dubey 2-22, Varun Bisht 2-17). Vidarbha 163-4 in 13.1 overs (Danish Malewar 75, Aniket Pande 35).
