On Saturday, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang and Mayor Malti Rai conducted an inspection of the ongoing drainage work on Hamidia Road. The inspection aimed to ensure that the construction work being carried out by the Public Works Department is progressing smoothly and effectively.
Minister Sarang emphasised the importance of organising the drainage system to prevent water-logging or flood-like situations in the future. He directed the Public
Works Department, Municipal Corporation, Railways, and Metro Rail Corporation to collaborate and create a comprehensive action plan for efficient drainage management.
During the inspection, the officials provided detailed information about the road construction and drainage flow. Minister Sarang stressed the need for quick completion of the work to avoid any inconvenience to the residents.
Corporation’s Additional Commissioner Tina Yadav, Mayor Council member Anand Aggarwal, and other officials from the Municipal Corporation, Public Works Department, and Metro Rail Corporation were present during the inspection. The local community can expect improved infrastructure and better drainage systems once the work is completed.
