The Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Nagpur recently helped a 12-year-old boy who was found alone at Nagpur Railway Station. The boy was spotted on Platform 1 by Woman Constable Urmila Sharma during her routine patrol. He appeared upset and couldn’t provide any details about himself. The child was immediately taken to the RPF station, where Sub-Inspector Priyanka Singh took quick action. With the help of Woman Constable Urmila Sharma and Nitesh from Childline, the boy was carefully questioned.

The boy, later identified as Shlok Virendra Kumar, explained that he had come to Nagpur from Surti village in Purnia district, Bihar, with his uncle. However, his uncle had left him alone at the station and disappeared. RPF, along with Childline, ensured the child’s safety and placed him in a shelter while they worked on locating his family. The RPF official claimed that Shlok was soon reunited with his family. “We have informed concerned police station in Bihar about Shlok and they are contacting his parents,” the official stated.
