In an early morning operation, a team from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), accompanied by CRPF personnel, conducted a raid at the Shastri Nagar residence of Rohit Tiwari, a relative of ex-RTO Constable Saurabh Sharma. The team arrived in official vehicles marked with ‘Press’ at Bada Patthar area. The CRPF personnel were stationed outside Tiwari’s residence to ensure security during the search. Entry and exit from the premises were strictly prohibited without prior authorisation. As a part of the investigation, the ED team interrogated all family members present at the residence.

 

The raid has sparked discussions across the city, with reports suggesting that Rohit Tiwari is closely related to Saurabh Sharma. Allegedly, Sharma had connections to Omega Vidyulcon Private Limited, a company associated with builder Tiwari. Earlier, the ED had filed a money laundering case against Saurabh Sharma following a raid at his residence. During that operation, the Income Tax Department seized an abandoned vehicle containing 52 kilograms of gold, silver, and Rs 11 crore in cash. The raid at Tiwari’s residence continued until the afternoon, with the ED refraining from making any statements to the media.
