Minister of State in the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, Religious Trust and Religious Affairs Department Dharmendra Lodhi inaugurated 3rd Mahakoshal Short Film/Documentary Festival at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Cultural and Information Centre on Saturday. Minister, Lodhi was invited as chief guest in the inaugural ceremony of the two-day Festival.
Despite heavy rain which hit the city since early in the morning, the Festival inaugurated on time with lighting of traditional lamp. Film Director Akashditya Lama, who has come from Mumbai, was present as a special guest in this program which was presided over by Senior Pediatrician, Dr. Pradeep Dubey.
In his address, Minister, Lodhi appreciated the organisers’ efforts to provide a respectful platform to the talent youths to mesmerize the world with their skill and talents.
The inaugural day event was started with the Master Class of the Film Director, Akashditya Lama, followed by colourful presentations of film screening and
cultural programs which remained the center of attraction. On December 29 i.e. the second day of Mahakoshal Film Festival, the master class of famous cine actor and MP Manoj Tiwari will be the main attraction of the program. During this, films will be screened and captivating presentations of cultural programs will also be given. In Mahakoshal Film Festival, workshops will be organised in Devi Ahilyabai Auditorium on topics like direction, script writing, editing, set designing, dubbing and search for producer. During the two-day Mahakoshal Film Festival, films will also be screened continuously in Shankarshah Raghunathshah Room. The closing ceremony of the festival will be organized in presence of Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla at 4 pm. On this occasion, prize distribution will also be done. Program coordinator Dr. Pawan Sthaphak and President Mahakoshal Film Development Society Dr. Prashant Karmaveer were present.
