Jabalpur police have issued guidelines to the owners of hotel, resort and club managers for New Year’s Eve Celebrations during a meeting, on Sunday. The meeting was organised under the directives of Superintendent of Police, Sampat Upadhyay (IPS). The meeting was chaired by Additional SP (City) Anand Kaladgi (IPS), Additional SP (Rural) Suryakant Sharma and Additional SP (Traffic), Pradeep Kumar Shende. During the meeting, owners of hotel, resort and club managers were given directives for concluding all the New Year programs by midnight (12:00 AM), use of DJ music is strictly prohibited, sound systems must remain confined to the premises, and adequate emergency lighting must be ensured, venues without a valid license to serve alcohol are prohibited from doing so.
 
Licensed venues must close their bars by 12:00 AM, organizers must arrange parking facilities on-site to avoid congestion, management must ensure that only invited guests attend the events, preventing unauthorized entry, private security guards and volunteers must be deployed at venues, with management taking moral responsibility for maintaining decency in events. Programs promoting vulgarity or inappropriate behavior are strictly forbidden, police checkpoints will be set up across the city to prevent drunk driving and reckless vehicle operation, ensuring public safety. organisers must arrange for videography and install CCTV cameras at venues to monitor activities.
