As per the instructions of the Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Jabalpur, and under the guidance of Principal District Judge Justice Manoj Kumar Shrivastava, the last National Lok Adalat of the year 2024 will be held on December 14. To ensure the successful organisation and widespread publicity of the National Lok Adalat, Principal District and Sessions Judge Justice Manoj Kumar Shrivastava flagged off the awareness vehicles from the District Court, Bhopal.
These vehicles will promote the National Lok Adalat through jingles and flex banners, reaching various urban and remote rural areas of Bhopal.
On this occasion, Chief District Judge justice Manoj Kumar Shrivastava was joined by Special Judge Justice Rajarshi Shrivastava, District Judge Justice Aarti Sharma, Justice Shailja Gupta, Justice Santosh Kaul, Additional Police Commissioner Pankaj Srivastava, Deputy Police Commissioner Shraddha Tiwari along with other officials were also present during the same. A meeting was also held under the chairmanship of the Principal District and Sessions Judge with all the departments and Bar Association officials to ensure the successful organisation of the Lok Adalat.
Notably, Lok Adalat is being held to promote mutual understanding among parties, eliminates bitterness, and saves time, money, and effort. The Lok Adalat is also special in a sense that here no party loses, both parties win. Also, if a case is resolved in Lok Adalat, court fees are refunded. The decisions/orders of Lok Adalat are final and cannot be appealed. Once a case is resolved in Lok Adalat, the dispute is permanently settled between the parties.
