Kolar police cracked a kidnapping case and rescued the victim, Hemraj, who was abducted by a group of five accused on December 6. Police have arrested all the five members of the gang, including the mastermind, Golu Puriya and his associates, Satya Gurjar, Brijmohan Lodha, Satish Sondhiya and Vinay Chandele. According to police, victim Hemraj was kidnapped by the accused from Sarvadharm Colony in Kolar, Bhopal and taken to Biaora in Rajgarh district. The accused had demanded that Hemraj’s wife, Pinky, come to Biaora and meet them or else they would harm her husband. Police received a complaint from Pinky, who reported that her husband had been kidnapped by a group of men in a white car. Police immediately launched an investigation and formed three teams to track down the accused. After analysing CCTV footage and conducting a thorough search, police identified the accused and their vehicle.

They tracked the accused to Biaora, where they had taken the victim. Police laid a trap and arrested two members of the gang, Brijmohan Lodha and Satish Sondhiya, who were travelling in the car. During interrogation, the accused revealed that they had kidnapped Hemraj at the behest of Golu Puriya, who had a grudge against the victim’s wife, Pinky. Police then arrested Golu Puriya and his associate, Satya Gurjar, who were travelling in a car. Police also arrested Vinay Chandele, who had provided the accused with information about the victim’s movements. The accused had used this information to kidnap Hemraj. Police have seized both the cars used by the accused and have registered a case under sections 140(2) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
