The Department of GST takes constant action in the cases concerned with fake invoice and bogus ITC under the guidance of Central GST Commissioner Lokesh Kumar Lilhare. Following the same, on the basis of details collected with DGARM report, data analysis and documents were investigated by officers of Jabalpur CGST Commissionerate. Prima facie, it was disclosed that a few advisors have displayed fake supply by misusing GST numbers of registered eligible tax payers to hand over fate ITC to various persons.

 

Taking action on the tip off, departmental officers conducted search at the residences of various taxpayers at Satna and near-by areas. During search, it was disclosed their GST registered numbers were misused in transaction of fake ITC.

Till now, the department collected evidences about illegal ITC transactions worth of Rs 3.5 crore done. Even through the statements collected from various persons, the evidence came fore that without any trading, fake ITC were issued. The Department has kept hawk eyes on the cases related to fake ITC and the action will continue in future as well.
