residents led by Bajrang Dal activists staged ‘Katangi Bandh’ and road blockade against brutal killing of mammals and finding dozens of skeletons. The demonstrators refuted the administrative report which confirmed killing of only five bovines and rest of the skeletons of other animals. It may be noted that total 57 skeletons of animals were found on Tulla Baba Ki Pahadi in Katangi area, on June 26. The repeated incident of mass killing of animals led to commotion amongst residents while a large numbers of activists of Bajrang Dal gathered at the spot and raised the demand of taking stern action against those involved in such inhuman act.
 
Taking prompt action into the case, team of veterinarians was called on the spot for further scientific investigation. The investigation report revealed that there were only five skeletons of bovines amongst 57 skeletons. Senior leaders of Bajrang Dal refuted the report and called Katangi Bandh, on June 28, for more investigation into the case, apprehending the accused and taking stern action against them to avoid further repetition of such kind of incidents.
 
On the call of Bajrang Dal, a large numbers of residents were gathered on Katangi Square and staged road blockade. In order to maintain law and order arrangements during the demonstration, Additional SP (Rural), Suryakant Sharma along with Additional Police Force reached the spot and tried to maintain law and order situation in the area. Collector Deepak Kumar Saxena reached the spot of demonstration and assured the demonstrators to apprehend those involved in killing of animals and taking appropriate action against them.
