Singrauli: Cops solve murder mystery in 12 hrs, BJP Moharia’s Yuva Morcha chief arrested

Chitrangi Police solved a murder case in just 12 hours and arrested the murder accused. On Saturday at 12.30 pm, Chitrangi police received information that an unidentified body was found on the Tendua Podi road, appearing to have died from a gunshot. Upon receiving the information, Station In-charge Sheshmani Patel, along with staff, inspected the scene and informed SP Nivedita Gupta and SDOP Ashish jain. Subsequently, an FSL team was called at the murder spot and a case was registered under section 174 of the CrPC at Chitrangi police station. SP Nivedita Gupta directed a proper investigation and under the guidance of ASP Shiv Kumar Verma, formed three teams led by SDOP Chitrangi. The deceased was identified as Lale Gunilal Bansal (23), a resident of Durdura village, Chitrangi police station, Singrauli district. One team remained at the murder spot, another team was assigned to check the CCTV footage on the Chitrangi-Sidhi main road, and a third team was sent to identify suspects.
 
Through continuous coordination among the three teams, the accused Abhishek Anil Pandey (30), a resident of village Kulhaiya PS Garhwa station, Singrauli district, was identified. Teams from police station Chitrangi, Garhwa and outpost Naudihwa, and Bagdara were deployed to arrest the accused. During this period, the accused was apprehended near Chitrangi Hospital Square. Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to his crime. The accused Abhishek revealed that he is the President of the BJP Yuva Morcha’s Moharia. On Saturday at 7 am, he was going to Rewa in his car MP-66/ZC-6675, carrying a licensed 32 bore pistol loaded with 8 cartridges. About one-and-a-half kilometers ahead of Rajeshwari Petrol Pump, he saw a youth lying injured on the road with another youth standing nearby with a motorcycle. When Abhishek approached the injured to inquire about his condition, the youth with the motorcycle started to flee. Abhishek chased him, and to scare him, fired a shot in the air, warning him to stop or he would shoot. When the youth didn’t stop, Abhishek shot him in the back.
 
Despite this, the youth continued to flee towards Tendua on his motorcycle, and Abhishek proceeded to Rewa. The police have seized the 32 bore pistol and the vehicle used in the incident. This entire operation involved commendable efforts from SDOP Chitrangi Ashish Jain, Inspector S M Patel, SI Umesh Tiwari, ASI Manish Sen, H C Lakshmikant Mishra, Manish Kusram, constables Bhaiyalal Yadav, Nandlal Yadav, Mukesh Pandey, Shubham Patle, Shivkumar Patel, Jitendra Tiwari, Sarvdanand Rai, Sudarshan Chauhan, R. Beersingh, Sachin Shukla, Ashish Pad, and Shobhal Verma.
