 A truck set ablaze after being collide with another truck in Barela.

In a tragic incident, a truck driver was set ablaze while four were critically injured in collide of two trucks near Sharda Mandir under the jurisdiction of Barela police station late night on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Vikas Gautam (24), resident of Lohra area in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. According to Barela police, receiving the information of a road accident near Sharda Mandir police reached the spot where a man named Ajit Kumar Gautam (23), resident of Gajaipur in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh informed that he is working as driver. On July 12, two trucks of his company were loaded with iron in Raipur. He was driving a truck towards Chandigarh while Vikas Gautam was driving another truck bearing registration number GJ-12BZ-4025 towards Sonipath.
 
They reached Barela and took dinner at a Dhaba and heading towards Jabalpur. He was driving the truck behind truck of Vikas. They were passing through Barela when a speeding truck numbered MP-20HB-5793 driving carelessly by the driver rammed into the truck of Vikas and his truck caught fire. Witnessing the incident, some locals and passer-bys were gathered on the spot but could not dare to reach near the burning truck. Before he managed to reach the spot Vikas was set ablaze in the fire.
 
Learning about the incident, police reached the spot and managed to douse the fire and found that the truck driver Vikas Gautam was set ablaze. Police sent the body for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital. Barela police have registered a case under Section 106(1) of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita while further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the accused truck driver.
