A MOTORCYCLIST being chased by stray dogs crashed into a stationary truck-trailer and died on spot in a road mishap that occurred at Hathkhoj Road in Bhilai-3. The police reported that after an autopsy the body was handed over to the family members on Monday, the police said. Police sources informed the deceased has been identified as Horilal Sagar (55), son of S Sagar, a resident of Umda, Bhilai-3. As per the sources at about 4:45 pm on Sunday, Horilal Sagar was riding his motorbike home when he was chased by stray dogs. In an attempt to escape, he accidentally hit the stationary truck at the road and died on the spot at Aklordeeh-Hathkhoj road in Bhili-3. Upon receiving information, a Purani Bhilai police team reached the scene immediately and initiated necessary measures for smooth vehicular traffic through the mishap site.

 

The police also seized the truck involved in the mishap. The victim Horilal Sagar was a factory workers and he was returning from the workplace when he met the unfortunate mishap. SHO Purani Bhilai police Mahesh Dhruv informed that in the fatal they have already registered the offence against the accused truck driver for wrongly parking the truck. To a query that whether on being chased by the stray dogs the victim accidentally hit the stationary truck-trailer at the road, SHO Dhruv replied that they are further investigating to ascertain the complete facts.
