THE ambience at the Vidarbha Bridge Association sports complex continued to remain upbeat this weekend. The bridge crazy ladies and gentlemen were seen competing in pairs and duplicate events. Playwell, who enjoy the reputation of having emerged champions in many duplicate contests in Vidarbha region, succeeded once again with a sizzling victory. Playwell seized the top spot by scoring 71.24 VP in 40 deals contest, played across 5 rounds of 8 boards each. Playwell consisted of S Chhajjed, Anilkumar Mohota, father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar and Kumra brothers Neeraj and Sanjeev.

 

Team Samadhan finished runners-up with a tally of 65.14 VP. Their team comprised M Hararwala, D Mandpe, M Diwan, V Patki and A Nandanwar. In 20 deals MP pairs event played on Saturday, M Hasabnis and L Madne duo clinched the top honours. M Luley and M Dutta duo walked away with second position. Amit Rewatkar was the tournament director for this brain game.
