An undertrial prisoner from Narmadapuram who reached Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in the custody of Jail Police to get himself treated for paralysis, unlocked the handcuff and fled away when the guards were in deep sleep in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. The undertrial prisoner who was admitted in MICU ward in the hospital, waited until the guards slipped into deep sleep and after unlocking his handcuff, he fled away with his son. The guards woke up at around 5.30 am, and became shocked when they did not find the prisoner on the bed. They looked for him in the entire Medical Hospital campus.
 
When the security guards of Jail Police informed Garha police about disappearance of the prisoner, the crime was registered and police initiated a manhunt to nab the accused. As per details, the 39-year old undertrial, Moin Khan alias Saka Bablu, son of Saleem Khan, residing close to Naya Thana, Bankedi district Narmadapuram, fled away from the custody of Jail Police after breaking the handcuff. It may be mentioned that Moin Khan alias Saka was admitted in Medical Hospital since many months. Khan was accused in many other cases including rape and was transferred to Jabalpur Central Jail from Sehore Jail. The crime was registered against the accused at Narmadapuram and still under-consideration in the Court.
