THE Vidarbha Divyang Cricket Association (VDCA), affiliated to Differently Able Cricket Council of India (DCCI) which is a BCCI supported body, held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Government Rest House, Yavatmal, recently. District officials — president, vice-president and secretary of all units of Vidarbha attended the meeting that was chaired by President of Vidarbha Differently Abled Cricket Association Sanjay Bhoskar. Secretary Rahul Lekurwale, Raju Dudhankar, Dheeraj Harde, Sachin Pakhre, Janak Sahu, Sarang Chaple and Gurudas Raut were prominently present.

 

The organisation’s schedule for the year was decided in the meeting including planning of local, district, state, and national competitions. Discussions were held on athletes’ training, sports science, diet, yoga, and exercise. A committee was formed to promote and publicise all these activities related to differently abled cricket throughout Vidarbha. Discussions and planning were also conducted on how to rehabilitate athletes through sports.

 

Rajendra Gayakwad, Nitin Shinde, Kishor Ingale, Amol Dhopekar, Sanjay Rathod, Girijanand Kalambre, Mitesh Harsule, Rohit Rathod, Vijay Dhangar, Suresh Rathod, Om Shinde and Sarvesh Tayde attended the meeting. The meeting also saw presence of district officials from other regions of Vidarbha including — Girijanand Kalbe, Sanjay Rathor, Ashish Deshmukh, Krishna Sontakke, Maroti Mahakalkar, Jagadish Devtale, Yash Thakre, Yashwant Mahajan, Vrushabh Ahir, Irshad Khan, Wankhade, Ganesh Jadhav, Amol Marotkar, Yogesh Ghatbande. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks.
