NAGPUR shuttlers cornered glory in the All India Inter-Institutional Badminton Championships organised by Chhattisgarh Badminton Association under the auspices of Badminton Association of India at iSportz Badminton Arena in Raipur. Representing Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Malvika Bansod won the women’s singles title, Rasika Raje emerged champion in the women’s doubles event in the individual championships that was followed by the team championships. RBI won all the titles on offer in the national tourney. They have qualified for Senior National Championship (Team Event) for the first time. In the team championships, both RBI men and women teams, who were the top seeds, recorded an identical 3-0 wins over their respective rivals in the summit clashes.
 
RBI women defeated Life Insurance Corporation of India while men blanked Employees State Insurance Corporation. Malvika gave the team a 1-0 lead in the women’s final without breaking a sweat against Leena Dhapre winning 21-3, 21-4 in just 15 minutes. In the second singles, Rasika got the better of Varada Dixit 21-9, 21-9 in 14 minutes. RBI also won the following doubles. In the women’s singles final in the individual championships, Malvika trumped Leena again 21-7, 21-5. In the semis, Malvika had defeated Food Corporation of India’s Laa Yajum 21-9, 21-10. In WD final, Rasika, partnering Sree Krishna Priya K, beat ESIC’s pair of Hena Das and Mohita Sahdev 21-14, 21-11. In the SF, RBI pair pipped LIC’s Shraddha Srivastava and Varada Dixit 21-5, 21-7. RBI players also won the men’s singles and mixed doubles events. Nagpur player Pranav Lokhande was also part of ten-member RBI men’s team.
