A large number of companies and vendors were attracted with the opportunities of private participation in defence sector during Regional Industry Conclave Jabalpur. Experts of defence production belongs to leading defence production units informed the participants about opportunities in defence production. Vehicle Factory Jabalpur (VFJ), Chief General Manager, Sanjeev Kumar Bhola detailed about the potentials of defence production in Jabalpur and other areas in the State. Industrialists were informed about the requirements of several defence accessories which can be manufactured and supplied by local vendors. I-Desk’s Captain Joseph detailed about the flagship scheme of the Government of India for promotion of start-ups in defence production sector.

 

He informed about attractive subsidies, training and other facilitations for promotion of defence based industries. Gun Carriage Factory Jabalpur’s representative Raghuveer Yadav informed about the structure, products and expectation from local industries in ensuring supply of several components. He invited the investors at Gun Carriage Factory to understand the requirements of components being used in production of defence weapons. Lieutenant General (Retd), M K Das said that defence industry is completely different from other industries. Defence industry was completely relied on financial support of the Government but now the Government of India is providing equal opportunity to private companies to enter the defence production for making the country self-reliant in defence production. Jabalpur is hub of defence production with best connectivity and investors has an opportunity to tap its potentials.
