Ram Niwas Rawat is new Forest and Environment Minister

newly inducted Cabinet Minister Ram Niwas Rawat has been allocated Forest and Environment portfolio. Fourteen days after taking oath as Cabinet Minister, Rawat has now replaced Nagar Singh Chauhan and has been assigned Forest and Environment portfolio. In this regard, a notification was issued on Sunday. As ‘The Hitavada’ reported about allocation of portfolio to Rawat, he has been given the charge of Forest and Environment. On July 8, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav expanded his Cabinet.
 
In this expansion, prominent leader from Chambal region Ramniwas Rawat, who joined BJP from the Congress, during Lok Sabha elections, took oath as a minister. Since then speculations about his minister berth were doing rounds. Rawat became the 31st minister of Dr Mohan Yadav Government. Joining of six times MLA from Vijaypur Assembly seat of Sheopur was seen as a setback to Congress. He is a prominent OBC face in the region, during Congress rule he was given the berth of minister. He contested Parliamentary elections against former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. Ramniwas Rawat has also been Working President of the State Congress Committee.
