Three persons were washed away due to the heavy rains that lashed the city on Saturday in Nagpur. Of those, two bodies been found. But an 11-year old boy from Bharatwada who washed away in the nullah near his home is still missing. As per the preliminary report submitted by Talathi of Bharatwada, Punapur and Somalwada, three persons washed away in rain. Bhojraj Dulichand Patle, 52-year old man and a resident of Shyamnagar, Punapur, was standing near a nullah. He slipped and fell into the flow of water. He got washed away.
 
His body was found on Sunday and is kept in the mortuary of Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH). In another incident, a woman named Sudha Vishweshwarrao Verulkar, aged 85, had gone to witness the situation of waterflow of a nullah situated between Beltarodi and Besa. She too got washed away. Her body was found from the nullah at Shyam Nagar. She was mentally ill, informed district administration. An 11-year old boy Shravan Vijay Tulsikar, a resident of Mohan Nagar in Bharatwada area was playing near nullah. He too drowned and is missing now. Meanwhile, East Nagpur MLA Krishna Khopde visited flood-affected areas of East Nagpur. He also met the family members of Bhojraj Patle and Shravan Tulsikar. After visiting the houses of both the families, Khopde discussed the incident in detail with the two families. He spoke to the District Collector who assured to cooperate with the families. Deepak Vadibhasme, Manisha Atkare, Chakradhar Atkare, Sanjay Mankar, Devendra Vaidya, Raju Divte, Sunil Suryavanshi, Harshal Kale, Subodh Manvatkar, Bhivagde and other BJP workers and office bearers accompanied Khopde. 
 
 
Collector declares holiday for schools, colleges today Considering the heavy rains being witnessed by Nagpur district, the District Administration has declared holiday to schools and colleges on Monday. In a circular, District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar made it clear that he being a District Disaster Management Authority has declared holiday to all the Government and private anganwadis, primary, secondary schools, colleges, all university departments, coaching classes on Monday. In the circular the Collector said that India Meteorology Department isssued orange alert for the district. The incessant rains are likely to disrupt traffic movement. Considering all these aspects, the district administration has declared holiday to educational institutions under section 25 of Disaster Management Act, 2005. The holiday is applicable to students. The decision whether to declare holilday to the teaching and non-teaching staff will depend purely on the individual institutions.
