VIDARBHA cricketer Apoorv Wankhade slammed his third century of the season in the Surrey Championship under way in the United Kingdom. Wankhade, who plays for Dulwich Cricket Club scored a whirlwind knock of 106 in 90 balls as Dulwich posted 301 for 3 (decl) in 55 overs. Dulwich then bundled out Walton on Thames Cricket Club for 203 runs in 37 overs to register a thumping 98 runs victory. The match was a 120-overs game and Dulwich earned 24 points for their huge win. Wankhade, who has so far slammed three centuries and as many fifties, sent the red Dukes ball to all parts of the field as he hammered six boundaries and eight sixes to take his team’s total past 300-run mark. The other notable scorer for Dulwich was Ahmed Khan who scored 70 runs.
 
In reply, Dulwich bowlers strangulated Walton batters. Harvey Booth took three wickets while Kaif Ramzan and William Jenkins took two each while Jonathon Lodwick and Felix Watson took one apiece. Wankhade, who is clicking at the right time before Ranji Trophy, India’s premier domestic tournament, has so far scored 640 runs in the tournament with a strike rate of 114.29 with his highest score being 128. The win took Dulwich to the second spot in the points table behind Spencer Cricket Club, Surrey who are leading with 170 points from 11 games. Dulwich have 163 points in their kitty from as many games.
