‘Jawaharlal Darda’s patriotism, devotion in public interest continues to inspire many’

Celebrating life and contribution of noted freedom fighter Jawaharlal Darda, various activities were organised at Cultural Street Auditorium. Darda’s patriotism and intense devotion in public interest, still inspire many. Darda accompanied Mahatma Gandhi in many movements during freedom struggle. Vice-Chancellor, Rani Durgavati University, Professor Rajesh Kumar Verma was invited to attend the prorgamme as chief guest while Vice-Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University, Dr Pramod Kumar Mishra was the guest of honour. Whereas, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh, Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh, JMC Chairperson, Rikunj Vij, former Congress President, Dinesh Yadav and litterateur, Pratul Shrivastava were the special guests. Vikas Mishra presided over the programme.
 
The programme inaugurated with a spiritual group dance performed by Megha Pandey and Mansi Vishwakarma. Later, the creative writing of Meena Bhatt and Mridula Dewan were released by the invited dignitaries who also felicitated
representative from different fields for their remarkable contributions. Those who were felicitated included Dr Arun Shukla, Dr Aparna Pandey, Sunil Sahu, Pawan Pandey, Ramkrishna Paramhans, Ashish Vishwakarma, Ramakant Tamrakar, Abha Jain and others. The programme was compered by Rajesh Pathak while Sanjay Paroha and Kamna Koustubh proposed a vote of thanks.
