Weather Department has released a heavy rain alert for 13 districts of Madhya Pradesh on Friday. Bhopal saw scattered rain on Thursday. According to Meteorology Department, heavy rain alert is issued for Guna, Ashok Nagar, Agar, Rajgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Sagar, Damoh, Shahdol, Maihar, Katni, Mauganj and Sidhi. Rain alert is also released for Shivpuri and Neemuch. On Thursday, Jabalpur, Umaria, Bhind, Sagar, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior and other few districts recorded drizzling and scattered rainfall throughout day. Weather scientists said that rain system is now strong in entire MP. Since morning, cloud cover remained in sky and weather remained pleasant with no sunshine in Bhopal on Thursday. In past ten days, Bhopal has recorded over 10 inches of rain which is 65 % more than average rainfall.
 
Scientists said that in the month of July heavy rainfall will be drenching the entire State. IMD forecast rainfall around 115.5 mm in Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Katani, Dindori, Sheoni, Mandla, Jabalpur , Dhar, Badwani, Datia,, Umaria and Shahdol on Wednesday. Wind would be blowing for 30 to 40 kmph. From July North, East, South part of state will be recording heavy rain. Weather Scientist Dr Ved Prakash said that a strong system has been activated from July 4 and good rainfall is expected to record in Madhya Pradesh till July 15. He said that in past 24 hours, many cities have recorded downpour and for next five days, storm, rain, thunder and lightning is expected in state. From July 3, Eastern Bay of Bengal has increased the rain activity in State.
 
Day and night temperatures have been increased by a few notches with continuous humidity. Highest day temperature was recorded as 33.0 degrees Celsius in Damoh and 33.8 degrees Celsius in Khajuraho. Malajkhand remained the coldest city with day temperature 27 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 32.5 degrees Celsius and minimum 23.5 degrees Celsius, Indore recorded maximum temperature 29.3 degrees Celsius and minimum 24.6 degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum temperature 28.0 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature 24.8 degrees Celsius. Gwalior recorded maximum temperature 29.5 degrees Celsius and minimum 25.5 degree Celsius.
