In a tragic incident, three people, including a child, were killed in a road accident near village Churiya under Bargi police station area of Jabalpur district early on Thursday morning. Soon after receiving the information about the accident, police reached the spot and after initial formalities, they took all three bodies in their custody and sent them for post-mortem. Later, police started investigations to know the cause of accident. Sharing details about the accident, SI, Bargi police station, Kamlesh Chauria said that Shahabuddin Mansoori (24), a resident of Khajri Khiria along with Gauri Rajak (22), a resident of Bargi and her three-year-old daughter Kritika Rajak were going towards Bahri from Bargi on a motorbike (GJ16 AH4163).

 

As soon as the trio reached the National Highway near village Churiya village, a pick-up vehicle (MH 40 CT3367) coming from behind, hit the bike and the pick-up overturned on it. As a result, all the three were trapped under the vehicle and died on the spot. As per eye-witnesses, the pick-up driver was driving recklessly at a high speed. The driver fled the spot after the accident. After sending bodies to NSCB Medical College for post-mortem, police informed their family members. After post-mortem, bodies were handed over to the family members. Bargi resident, Saurabh Rajak informed that his sister Neetu alias Gauri Rajak along with her friend Shahabuddin Khan and three-year-old Kritika was going to Bahoripar when the unfortunate accident took place. Meanwhile, police took possession of the vehicle and started a manhunt to nab the accused driver. It may be noted that The driver was coming to Jabalpur after loading chillies from Nagpur.
