mysterious deaths involving a young man and woman have created a sensation in Raipur. The body of a young woman was discovered in room number 416 of Hotel Babylon Inn on Jail Road, while the body of a young man was found on the railway tracks at Urkura. The deceased woman, identified as 25-year-old Vani Goyal from Ambikapur, had been reported missing at Saraswati Nagar police station. Her friend, Vishal, was found dead near Urkura railway station the previous night. The police are treating the girl’s death as a potential murder and have launched an investigation. Raipur Police confirmed the discoveries and indicated that the girl had been missing sincehe previous day. Initial reports suggest that both Vani and Vishal had arrived together at Hotel Babylon Inn, as evidenced by CCTV footage showing them entering the hotel together on Saturday, July 6, at around 1:39 PM.

The footage also revealed that Vani had arrived by cab while Vishal was already near the hotel. They checked into room 416 and remained there for about five hours. At approximately 6:30 PM, Vishal was seen leaving the hotel alone, which has led to suspicions that Vani might have been murdered before his departure. Following this, Vishal’s body was discovered near the Urkura railway tracks, leading investigators to believe he may have committed suicide after the incident. Vani Goyal, the niece of BJP district president Babulal Goyal from Surajpur, had been studying in Raipur for a few days. The police are examining all angles including extensive review of CCTV footage.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and the investigation continues under the jurisdiction of Ganj police station. The police are striving to piece together the events that led to this tragic outcome and bring clarity to the circumstances surrounding these deaths. Saraswati Nagar Police stated that in the case of a missing person reported at the police station, the search for Vani Goyal, daughter of Ashok Goyal, age 26, and resident of Maruti Life Style, House No. 29/05, Kota, Saraswati Nagar Police Station, Raipur, was being actively pursued by the police team.
